Music

History

I began playing guitar in 1988. I studied classical guitar technique from 1989-1992 with Brian Torosian at DePaul University. I also studied bluegrass guitar technique with Eric Lugosch at the The Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago in 1996.

I also enjoy playing other music instruments. In 1995 I began teaching myself to play analog keyboards, and in 1997 I began teaching myself to play the drum kit. I also play bass guitar, hand drums, effects, and working with professional audio software, Such as Reason and Sonic Foundry tools.

At media.sheepfiends.com you can find a collection of mp3 files of my classical, bluegrass, and Renaissance guitar music.

The Sheep Fiends

In May of 1992 Brian McNally, Sid Prise, and myself founded The Sheep Fiends, a group dedicated to exploring experimental, incedental, and improvisational music. This group has been playing more or less continuously since then and has included over 120 musicians. The Sheep Fiends has performed at such Chicago venues as LoungeAx, The Lunar Cabaret, Urbus Orbis, The Morseland, and the Hot House. I maintain the group website.

Much Sheep Fiends music is available online at: www.sheepfiends.com. Some material is also available at: MindMined.
